    Come and take a wonderful adventure to Dutch Country, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Experience their culture and traditions and take in some of the many wonderful shows that they offer.

    Day 1: Board your spacious, restroom and video equipped Motorcoach and set off for Lancaster in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Tonight, check into an en route hotel for a good night's rest.

    Day 2: After a Continental Breakfast you will continue to head towards your destination. Today, you will arrive in exciting Lancaster, PA. Before checking into your Lancaster area hotel, you will enjoy a visit to Sight and Sound Theatres to see the brand NEW show JESUS. The greatest rescue story of all time! Jesus is the action-packed musical stage adventure that takes you on a miraculous journey alongside the most famous person to ever walk the earth, and the everyday people whose lives he changed forever. Tonight enjoy Dinner and check into your hotel for a 3 night stay.

    Day 3: Today after enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will go to THE AMISH EXPERIENCE attraction. The Amish Country Homestead is a reflection of their commitment to accurately and sensitively portray the Old Order Amish as they live and work in today’s world. The Homestead is the home of the fictional Amish family of Daniel and Lizzie Fisher, whom you have gotten to know in the Amish Experience Theater’s “Jacob’s Choice.” Inside the Homestead, learn of Amish traditions and practices, plain clothing and life without electricity. The Fisher One-Room School is attached to the house and filled with authentic desks and furnishings from an actual Amish school. You’ll learn the tradition of teaching eight grades in one room. From the pantry stocked full of freshly canned vegetables to the family’s plain clothes… from propane-powered lamps to air-compressor driven appliances…the Fisher Family Homestead truly provides insights into the complex riddles of a culture so very different from our own.     Day 4: After enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will head to Philadelphia. Upon your arrival you will go on a guided tour of Philadelphia. During your tour some of the highlights you will see include: Independence Hall, Betsy Ross’ House, The Mint, The Federal Reserve, The Holocaust Memorial, Logan Circle, Penn’s Landing and “The Rocky Steps.” After your GUIDED TOUR OF PHILADELPHIA you will have free time in the historic district where you will be able to visit the Liberty Bell and the Independence Visitor Center. Later, you will have Dinner before returning to your hotel for the evening.

    Day 5: Today after enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will go on a GUIDED TOUR OF LANCASTER including Amish Country. Next, you’ll visit the KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE – a charming marketplace of shops and restaurants. Later that day, you'll check into your en route hotel.

    Freshman: This class is for the beginner. Basic fundamentals in the full swing and short game will be introduced. There is a special emphasis at this level on golf course etiquette and facility etiquette.

    Sophomore/Senior: This class is for the junior with some experience to advanced competitive golfer. We will refine the fundamentals of the full swing and short game while emphasizing the value of quality practice techniques and course management. The mental approach to the game is developed, which includes visualization and the importance of setting goals. In addition, the student’s competitive edge is sharpened in preparation for tournament play.

    A combination class that includes traditional jazz with the more modern Hip Hop. The technical training is taught through jazz, which helps with the fast, athletic movements and body isolations required in Hip Hop. As with all CMD programs, the music and choreography is age-appropriate. Develop strength, flexibility, rhythm, leaps, turns, balance, and safe body mechanics to dance confidently in a social atmosphere. A 30 minute recital will be held in May and professional costumes are provided with no additional fees.

    If you are 50 or older, then join us for bowling classes at Anchor Lanes! Bowling doesn't just benefit the physical body - the social aspects of the game can do a lot to bolster the mental well-being of people as well. Classes meet weekly at Anchor Lanes for four weeks. Each class is approximately an hour and includes instruction, 2 games of bowling, and shoe rentals each week.

    Golf is a low impact sport, making it a great way to get active and re-energize a fatigued body. Our 55 and Over Golf Class is designed to study the entire game of golf. There is also emphasis on flexibility, conditioning, and nutrition. The facilities, curriculum, technology, and passion for players to learn golf ensures progress at the fastest possible rate. Golf has also been shown to increase life expectancy. Novice/Intermediate classes are for the new and intermediate skilled players. Advanced/Expert classes are available for players with experienced to advanced skill levels. Classes are held at the George Bryan Golf Academy.

    252632 - Guided River Trip

    Plan a guided river trip down the Saluda River. The trip lasts three hours and includes instruction, equipmemt and shuttle. Enjoy interpretation along the way and a stop at Corley Island. If river conditions are conducive, the guide will lead your party up stream to catch a glimpse of the resident bald eagle and otter family.
    Guided trips can be scheduled for a minimum of 4 participants. 48 advance reservation required.

    Grab your dancing shoes and make it a night to remember! Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission presents "Shaggin' for Seniors" on March 22, 2012. Spend the evening mingling with friends, listening to your favorite classic tunes, and dancing the night away. The Dance, held at The River Center at Saluda Shoals Park, will benefit Meals on Wheels. Ticket price includes hors d'oeuvres. Tickets purchased after 5:00pm on March 16 will incur an additonal $5 charge.
